Mercy Care McAuley Park

McAuley Park is a mixed-use project in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn district that strives to provide “healthcare where it’s needed most.”  The original Mercy Care Clinic on the site was an existing 2-story building that had been expanded on multiple occasions but continued to struggle with difficult exterior access, a fragmented appearance, disjointed circulation, and inadequate space.  Addressing these needs required a campus expansion plan to house leadership and administration, as well as expanding the clinic.

To this end, the adjacent McAuley Center office building was built, a new 3-story steel annex that houses administration and physician offices as well as a street-level resource center for human resources and volunteer services.  The Center connects to the original Clinic by a daylit internal bridge, as well as a covered exterior colonnade and entry canopy that unites the built language of both old and new.

The project completed in 2022.
